I recently learned a handy milk-frothing trick with a French press, which allows me to make home lattes. All you need is a finely-ground espresso blend (I enjoy Kizler’s espresso), your preferred milk, and an inexpensive stovetop espresso maker for the basic latte. Add the “holiday” with some brown sugar and spices in tiny amounts (experiment with your favorite combinations of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, etc.)Follow these simple steps:

  1. Prepare espresso (or brew some strong coffee)
  2. Heat up your milk
  3. Pour the milk into the French press and pump it for 10ish seconds
  4. Pour the espresso into your cup and mix in your sugar’n’spice
  5. Pour your now-fancier milk on top of the espresso
  6. Voila!
